“UESF Smart Voter– Elections will be:
Wednesday 2/20/2019 thru Tuesday 3/05/2019!

We are conducting elections for:
The 2019 California Federation of Teachers (CFT) Convention on March 22- March 24, 2019, in Los Angeles, CA.

All active members in good standing are able to vote. We will be electing 20 delegates* plus 5 alternates.
Check your personal email (it may be under all mail or junk/spam or mailbox for UESF- Smart Voter communications and to complete ballot.

With UESF Smart Voter, you can vote using your cell phone, tablet or personal computer!

Please look at all the candidates and help select who you want to be your representatives at this important statewide convention. Your delegates will represent UESF and help shape policy and meeting other educator leaders across the state. It is a critical time to make sure our Union is heard loud and clear across California. *FOR CANDIDATES in this election: Please read and be aware of UESF election and campaign guidelines: Candidates, groups of candidates, and other members should not use for electioneering any member address, telephone number or e-mail address acquired from UESF or SFUSD official records by any means whatsoever. Candidates should not use school district mail delivery, school telephone numbers, or UESF committee, substitute, or retired division lists for electioneering purposes. • No candidates should be endorsed by committees, Union Building Committees, or other UESF bodies.

Reimbursement of expenses is contingent upon delegates’ attendance at all official sessions of the convention, as well as all UESF caucuses. Delegates are expected to represent the policies of UESF.

ACCEPTING NEA REPRESENTATIVE ASSEMBLY AND CTA STATE COUNCIL NOMINATIONS!

UESF is now accepting nominations for our members who are interested in being representatives to the NEA Representative Assembly and Classified & Certificated Representative to CTA State Council. All active UESF members are nominated and are eligible to run to be a representative to one or two of these positions.

The 2019 National Education Association Representative Assembly – July 4th-July 7th in Houston, TX. UESF will elect 10 delegates plus 5 alternates.

CTA State Council Classified/ESP Representative- (Term 2019- 2022). UESF certificated members will elect 4 classified/esp members and 2 alternates to represent them at CTA State Council from 2019-2022.

CTA State Council Certificated Representative- (Term 2019- 2022). UESF certificated members will elect 8 certificated members and 4 alternates to represent them at CTA State Council from 2019-2022.

This is a great opportunity to represent UESF, shape policy and meet other educator leaders across the state and country. It is a critical time to make sure our Union Voice is heard strong and clear across California and the nation.
