UESF Area Rep Positions Now Open UESF is looking to hire several new Area Representatives for next school year. The paid, part-time position is perfect for recent retirees but can also be a good fit for active teachers and paras who are looking to become more active in the union. Area Reps are an essential part of UESF organizing efforts. They help school sites get Union Building Committees up and running, assist Building Reps in enforcing the contract at their sites, and provide a key communication link between the schools and the UESF office. Area Reps are also leaders in the campaigns undertaken by the union. They have played key roles in contract campaigns, passing Proposition A, and ensuring SFUSD receives the full Rainy Day Fund.
