Diane Ravitch to Speak in San Francisco on January 18th
Up to 4 free tickets for UESF members

Noted critic of the current corporate "reform" efforts, Diane Ravitch, will be speaking in San Francisco on January 18th at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Jointly hosted by UESF, CTA, and the CFT, the 'Evening with Diane Ravitch' event will be a chance to hear first-hand from one of the leading education voices in the country. An architect of NCLB in the Bush administration, Ravitch has since seen the problems with pushing a test-driven agenda in our schools, becoming perhaps the nation's foremost critic of corporate reform efforts in our schools and their free-market approach to public education.

Tickets will be available free of charge to UESF members, with pick-up at the UESF office beginning during the holiday break. There will be a limit of four tick- ets for any one member. Free tickets are available for UESF members on a first-come first-served basis. Email mkimura@uesf.org to reserve your tickets. There is a four ticket limit per member.
