Proposition A

Hard to Fill Schools for 09-10 School Year
$2,000 for Teachers Next Year

As part of Proposition A, teachers at the following hard-to-fill schools will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend next school year:

Elementary: Brown, Carmichael, Carver, Cleveland, Drew, El Dorado, Harte, Hillcrest, Malcolm X, Muir, Parks, Revere, Webster.

Middle: Denman, Everett, Francisco, M.L. King, Lick, Mann

High: Balboa, Burton, ISA, Marshall, Mission, O’Connell

The $2,000 stipend will be payable in two stipend payments of $1000 each at the end of the 2009-2010 fall and spring semesters.

Teachers will be asked to fill out a brief form prior to receiving the payment, documenting the additional work they do. We anticipate that this should be no problem, as teachers at all school sites regularly put in more than a 7-hour day.
